An Inclusive School

Two factors I would consider of great importance to facilitating an inclusive school are:

1. The culture of the school. The staff and administration must create and execute a culture that creates an environment where all children are catered for. Specific needs can then be identified and supported but the key is treating all children as equal learners. Eg. Identifying that some students may be need additional resources to facilitate their learning.

2. Removing the barriers that prevent a school from being inclusive. Eg. Having structures for students who are deaf or mute and having the resources to support these learners. It should not be seen as a burden to be handled but a need that must be fulfilled as with all other learners.

I really like that you highlighted the removal of barriers to inclusivity. Seeing it as an opportunity for growth and the fulfillment of professional accountability.
