Unhelpful Attitudes

Many teachers have got an attitude that learners with diverse needs have got lower abilities and therefore, would even attempt to teach them at a lower level. I have seen this taking place at my school whereby teachers test these students at a lower level, which is essentially very unprofessional. Teacher should try their best to help their special needs students promote the full development of all the abilities and potential of children with disabilities to help them reach their maximum ability and not discriminate but treat them with equality. Treating these special needs student differently did cause a stigma to these special needs students in that class. My principal in turn had teachers completing online courses about inclusion and special education. These courses assisted teachers effectively with dealing with their special needs students in their classrooms because they were made aware of situations and how they can be dealt with successfully.
