End of Course Assessment

This course was very in-depth with information on how to create an inclusive classroom/school. It was an eye-opener for me because it made me realized all the relevant details about how to promote inclusivity. Teachers need a lot of support and guidance when it comes to inclusion. We cannot do it on their own, we need the support system such as the principals, colleagues, stakeholders, community and parents. Teachers also need to be a reflective practitioner all the time to strengthen or see professional development within themselves. Additionally, I will also use the buddy system to include children with disabilities in all activities.

EXCELLENT COURSE!!!!!

IT WILL BE BENEFICIAL TO ME NOW AND IN THE FUTURE....

Thank you!!

I agree with you on the depth, diversity and richness of this course. I have learned, particularly, that getting a challenged learner into an institution does not in itself signify inclusivity. I purpose to pursue the idea of support for some of the learners I have seen struggle with lessons. The learners with hearing challenges, for example, rarely have sign language interpreters in most of the subjects. One only benefits if he/she brings a private one to class. The visually challenged, too, need lighter writing machines to carry around. I believe the institution can work with some organisations to purchase these gadgets.

The second lesson is on teamwork with colleagues to make the institution and the classes more inclusive. There is a general culture of individuality, which hinders growth. I believe we can come together to share best practices in making the classes and the work environment more inclusive.
