Activity 1.6 Professional development

Prior to this course, the in-service training I have received has been more geared towards developing the skills needed to teach specific subject areas e.g. Mathematics rather than equipping me to implement inclusion. That is why I appreciate the teacher training I received in college, where I did a course in Special Education. It was enlightening and empowering. 

I do believe that more in-service training is needed in the area of Special Education in my context. Like Daniel, I think that it should be short training with follow up to provide even more support for the teacher.
