ACTIVITY 2.9 TEACHER AS A ROLE MODEL

The teacher should be welcoming and supportive. They should use respectful language so on one feels offended or discriminated.

I do agree, the teachers attitudes, character and behaviours should reflect positively within the learning environment and with their students to foster positive attitudes in students. This would allow their students to feel accepted, encouraged and motivated towards learning and the learning environment.

Hi Shinelle,
Teachers must be very respectful, if any at all they want to be respected. Role models are people that shows level of leadership skills that others will want to emulate. Teachers are one such figure that will display their work and worth. I strongly believe that I was to called to be a teacher. I enjoy what I do and love to own my space, time, make teaching aids and be a supporter of the children's need, parents, colleagues and community as large. When a teacher is respected especially in the community to which he or she lives and works, you will receive respect, support and protection from them.

Teachers as role models

I agree that teachers are role models always and how they treat children as well as other adults for example  colleges and  parents  will be an example for the children  to follow.  Also in terms of inclusive  education  the attitude  of the teacber toward  the child that has  the particular  disability will help the children  to either be positive  or negative toward  the child  with disability the teacber must therefore model inclusion by their language to show the child  they are valued, thier inclusion  of the child in everyday activities and thier reward of accomplishments for all children.
