Professional Development

I have been involved in many professional development seminars that have helped me as a teacher.  I can recall vividly my first professional development workshop after leaving college.  It was the implementation of a new curriculum. It was very intense and informative. I was able to effectively use the methods and strategies  learnt to teach my students. We also had had regular observations from the curriculum  implementation team.

When teachers are always involved in continuous professional development workshops it allows them to keep up with what is taking place in the education system and meet the needs of the children to get positive outcomes. When teachers  exposed to continuous training  there should also be follow-ups and regular observations of the strategies are implemented.
