Activity 2.7 Positive behaviour management strategies

A strategy which I have used to positively manage behaviour in the classroom is the establishment of class rules together with the students. Students feel included in the establishment of these rules and are encourage to follow them. These rules convey discipline, expectations and consequences based on their behaviours.

General guidelines would be provided by the teacher which have been communicated with the parents and the principal. The rules have been focus for both inside and outside of the classroom which also has left little room for the students to ‘switch mode’ when in the classroom and when the teacher is not around.

Activity 2.7

I agree with your strategies,as teachers we need to show the children what are the expectations for good behavior. Be consistent and reward good behavior, these are some strategies we use.
