1.4 Developing Positive Attitudes

I recall when I began working at a school and an autistic child was enrolled there. At that time the school never had inclusive education but it was agreed that no child would be turned away. The child acted up regularly because we were still unsure how to deal with him. Eventually we developed strategies by doing research to work with him. I recall it was a very difficult time but it was also an experience that encouraged me to ant to learn more so that I can help more children like him.
