1.4 Developing positive attitudes

I worked with a child with speech delay. The child parents would not accept the fact that the child had this problem. At times the child would I would  point to what she wanted or needed. In order to overcome this issue I encouraged the child to use her words to communicate her needs and wants by saying the word and have her repeat it.
