Creating an inclusive ethos and culture

The values and attitudes that makes a school comes from the practices implemented by the staff. For example, when the staff observes a child's birthday or when parents volunteer for activities such as gardening builds children's interest and curiosity.

When staff demonstrates a warm welcoming attitude, the culture and environment of the school reflects that. Children will be motivated to come to school, and the staff will be willing to go the little extra to get things done. The school will have a certain standard of excellence.

When the other students observe the staff's positive attitude, they will model this behavior and so the ethos is spread throughout the institution.

Agreed fully. Even as adults a welcoming environment motivates you to do better.
