Activity 1.1 The UNICEF wave model

Wave 2 is based on interventions. The things teachers can do collectively to support inclusive education are : Change of attitude and culture of the school. Support each other and work together with a modify curriculum that will benefit all children. Misconceptions can be challenged by giving people the opportunity to interact and understand each other. rather than focus on difficulties. Therefore support and everyone working together is essential.

The UNICEF 'Wave Model' is structured in such a way that it includes all elements of an inclusive school. As an educator, I believe that parents, teachers and the community should work together to promote inclusive education and no child left behind.

Hi Kimberlee, I do agree with you that all should be onboard for inclusive school and education to be effective. The chain is linked to each other. No child should be left behind.

Hi Joanne, i really love the UNICEF wave model. had it not been for their intervention with other agencies probably inclusion would not had existed and still trying to go global for the sake of the nations children. As teachers, we should all try to spread this through our school administrators for them to buy in this great attraction. It is a win win for all teachers and students to benefit from. We must aid and support each other to achieve common goals in the schools.

On point Simone! We all need to be good ambassadors of inclusive education practices in our institutions.
