An inclusive ethos and culture

The educational system in my country is 'centralized'; that is, laws are taken at the national level, and regional authorities and local schools have to comply with the regulations.

A few years ago, a recommendation was sent to schools saying that all categories of learners have to be accepted in the same classes regardless of their gender or level. Education is compulsory till the age of 16. Therefore, all children, with or without any learning trouble or difficulty, have the right to attend the same schools.

It is the duty of the teacher - along with the trainer, the headmaster, the regional child psychiatrist or the local social worker  - to cater for the individual needs of the learners.
