One of the most important guidelines is that teachers and pupils respect everybody’s individuality. This is likely to help children start developing self-esteem and emotional well being, and they will all feel they belong to the classroom community and valued for what they are.

I have heard the saying "Imitation is the highest form of praise," as teachers show respect for the students with disabilities, the 'regular' students would be naturally inclined to do the same. This would create s asense of community and belonging among peers.
