Activity 1.2: What makes an inclusive school?

Two important features of an inclusive school:

Firstly the teachers, the attitude in which they welcome each child into their classroom and actively seek out information to facilitate each individual regardless of his/her ability is paramount to ensuring that learning and development outcomes are attained.

Secondly the physical environment, one which lifts the moral and self-esteem of each child. An environment that provide resources to encourage positive learning and development for all. Most importantly an environment which makes each child feel like the doors are opened to them the moment they get to school.

I agree as the teachers attitudes play a major role in making the child feel comfortable. We need to be accepting and help motivate the child to learn by showing our interest in them no matter what.
