End of course assessment-Bringing it all together

I am indeed happy that I have enrolled in this course. Taking part in this course has definitely expanded my thinking about Inclusion. I will definitely implement the knowledge gained from this valuable course. In addition, I will impart my knowledge gained to my colleagues.

Two aspects from this course that I will take forward with me into my practice are:

1. I intend to create community connections by working with special education organizations/ non-governmental organizations by inviting them and allowing them to provide continuous parent education development programmes to, aid parents/families in understanding different disabilities and providing meaningful support for their special need children at home.

2. I intend to listen to the experiences of children by engaging in regular and systematic student interviews to learn more about my students needs and how best I can improve levels of supports given to them. By doing this, I am demonstrating that I value students' feedback and input in classroom decision/activities. As I plan to engage in student interviews, I will implement accommodations for effective and friendly participation for interview access such as, providing interview questions in large print for students with visual impairments.

I enjoyed taking part in this course. I learnt a lot.
