Inclusive Ethos

Schools with inclusivity are those with a positive ethos and learning environment where all children including those with disabilities feel welcome and experience a sense of belonging and community.

For inclusive education to be successful we must have support for children and teachers, collaborative teaching models, teacher training and effective parental involvement. Teachers should be given assistance when needed to implement strategies in order to facilitate successful Inclusive Education.

I totally agree to this statement. Supporting inclusiveness is very important for a school to promote an inclusive environment. Teacher training workshops on inclusive education is very important, collaborating with parents and the community is also important as well. When everyone is on board, the school promotes learning and development at high quality and no is child left behind.

I totally agree with you. When children with special needs as well as disabilities feel welcomed they would want to be in and flourish in the environment. An inclusive ethos would contribute to a more productive and respectful society.

I agree with you, a child needs to feel welcome in order to show his full potential.

I agree with the features that you listed for inclusion. I like the idea of collaborative teaching groups. I believe that when teachers get together and share their experiences and strategies it helps improve pedagogical practices.

Hi Reshma,

I totally agree with you. Teachers behaviour and attitude can move mountains. When parents and children that is all children and all parents are treated with love and respect and you let them know that your school is a place where they  are always welcomed and there is always someone there for them teaching and learning has no limit for success and you have made the right step towards inclusion.
