Activity 1.5

At my Centre, two factors that are effective in contributing to an inclusive ethos and culture are-
1. We teach every religious event and holidays.
Our country is a multicultural society. The children learn the history and modern aspects. We reassure parents that we aren't indoctrinating the children, we are just observing. Children also learn to respect the religious beliefs of their peers. The teachers also participate in all activities.

2. Parent Teacher Conferencing.
Each term we have conferencing with both parents. We allow parents to share their views and we display children's work and then discuss. Parents are also encouraged to volunteer at school. When parents and teachers are working hand in hand it's a great benefit for the child. The child will also trust the teacher.

Hi Prisha, what you all are doing at the Centre is just great. In my country we too do Parent Teacher Conferencing. we follow the same format in most schools.
