What exactly is displaying tariff of sanctions in the classroom? 

Classroom

Meet and greet pupils when they come into the classroom. - 1

Display rules in the class - and ensure that the pupils and staff know what they are. - 1

Display the tariff of sanctions in class. - 4

Have a system in place to follow through with all sanctions.- 4

Display the tariff of rewards in class. - 4

Have a system in place to follow through with all rewards. -1

Have a visual timetable on the wall. - 1

Follow the school behaviour policy. -1

 

Pupils

Know the names of children.  -1

Have a plan for children who are likely to misbehave. -2

(following the school policy or report misbehaviour to the principal or HOD and they will guide accordingly)

 

Teaching

Praise the behaviour you want to see more of. - 1

Praise children doing the right thing more than criticising those who are doing the wrong thing (parallel praise). -2

(allow students to become teachers to the students doing the wrong thing. Guidance from teacher will be included)

Stay calm. -1

Have clear routines for transitions and for stopping the class. -1

Teach children the class routines. -1
