Positive behaviour management strategy

One positive behaviour management strategy that I have tried and observed in a classroom setting is preventing disruptive behaviour; this was done by encouraging, praising and rewarding appropriate behaviour eg. giving stickers, watching a movie. Also modeling/demonstrating the behaviour. It worked for me. It was hard at the start but I was consistent with my approach. Another approach was the teacher/parent link.
