Activity 1.5- Creating an inclusive ethos and culture

Two factors I think are particularly effective in contributing to an inclusive ethos and culture are: Teacher Professional Development and Parental Involvement.

Firstly, teachers need professional development/ training in order, to be more knowledgeable and  confidently deliver approaches that will support the individual needs of all learners. Since, a positive school ethos is important to developing good relationships.

Secondly, parental involvement where parents take an active role in their child's learning and are encouraged to work in partnership with the school. This will assist in promoting a more positive and inclusive environment.
