Activity 2.5 Resources and systems to support children with disabilities

I especially like the idea that all children with disabilities have someone to play with at breaktime. Breaktime allows the children to 'move around' and socialize with peers. It helps to reduce the anxieties and stresses which maybe built up during activities in the classroom or at home. Breaktime also provides opportunity for children to practice life skills such as turn taking, conflict resolution as well as managing and identifying their own emotions and considering the emotions of others. Breaktime should also allow children to use their creativity and imagination.
