  • all children with disabilities have social activities after school

Parents should be encouraged to create support groups and engage the children in activities together, outside of the school environment. Parent can ask teachers for suggestions to help get groups started, and activities that can be done.

Through these activities I have seen parents realise that they are not alone in their many daily struggles. Many lifelong friendships are formed from these opportunities.
