From my experience:
There was a child who could not sit down for long he will continually get up and disrupt the class. His teacher will put him to sit close to her in class and he will still get up and run around. But he was very intelligent and loving child he will ask please and give hugs to the teachers when it home time, but he was unable to sit quietly for any period of time. So we the teachers came together to see what strategies could be used to help him settle in the learning environment. We planned activities and provide resources that he was interested in. After a couple of weeks his attitude began to change he was more settled and interacting in a positive way with his peers, there was some challenges in keeping him interested in some activities but we never give up on him, on evenings he will get a paper and crayons and go to miss Lisa so they can write his name before he goes home.
