Example from Practice

Teacher involvement/participation in learning study is critical, but participatory time is equally important and must be well thought out, planned and facilitated, taking into account all aspects involved in the process; this is where school support will undoubtedly assist the process, as each one helps the other. Through learning study interactions, collaboration and reflection as well as constant sharing of information on ways to move forward in a positive direction, students and teachers will most definitely benefit from meaningful participation and learning while expanding their knowledge base. Group formation would have such a profound effect/impact because inclusion for all can also be at the heart with teacher learning that supports student learning. Providing the opportunities for formation and participation should be encouraged by the school in order to help create/build a more solid foundation for ongoing teaching and learning enhancement through discussions with staff centered upon all children and all teachers.
