About a year ago, I was invited to participate in Language and Literacy Professional Development workshop that I found to be interesting and beneficial to me.  The activities, explanation and demonstrations using relevant resources widen my knowledge capacity and was able to learn new methods to foster phoneme and phonemic awareness in my students.  It encouraged me to practice the developmentally appropriate methods enabling me to be more confident and knowledgeable in my teachings.  Also, this workshop sensitize me on new strategies to help my students in their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills which I utilize upon returning to the classroom settings.
