Attributes of an Inclusive Teacher

An inclusive teacher :

1. Organization- A teacher must be organized in all manner be it when starting the day to preparation of daily activities with relevant resources readily available. Highly organized is a MUST!

2. Creativity- Teachers ought to be innovative and use different resources in 3-4 different ways to meet the different learning styles of students. Use new teaching techniques and adapt their lessons in creative ways to highlight students individual learning strengths.

3. Highly Intuitive- Teachers must be able to sense underlying behavioural problems affecting a child and also be ready to help when it occurs in the classroom setting.

4. Calming Nature- Teacher should create a stress-free atmosphere and safe environment.  It is necessary for the teacher to master the skill of calmness to reduce the level of stress that may surface.

5. Adaptability- Teachers must be able to maintain an order, follow a schedule and be flexible in all situations if they arises in the classroom.
