Activity 1.5 Creating an Inclusive ethos and culture

Two factors that are particularly effective in contributing to an inclusive ethos and culture are:

1. The school should be guided by a mission and vision which supports an inclusive ethos and culture, for example At this school we cater to the holistic development of every child.

2.Professional Development: Teachers should continuously engage  in professional development as within recent times teaching/learning has transitioned to online. Not all teachers were familiar with IT, as a result webinars/workshops were offered to teachers to assist in the navigation  of the different types of learning platforms.

Totally agree that most mission and vision statements should be revised to favor all learners.
