3.5 Example from practice

We brainstorm together and share our knowledge and experiences

In my working environment the teachers meet at the end of the week to plan for the upcoming week. Plan/do/review. We reflect on the challenges we faced during the week. We discuss how the children received the activities, what were the challenges we faced in delivering the activities and we also look at ways we can improve our delivery of the activities.  As a group we also share information about the children in our respective groups. Sometimes, other teachers may have noticed something that we missed or have an idea on how we can improve and in sharing information with each other, we are made aware, and we are able to share ideas on how we can improve. Teachers may have knowledge or had similar experiences with a challenge that a teacher might currently be facing, so by sharing knowledge, experiences and collaborating we are able to improve on our practice.

At my Centre we do the same. It's a wonderful experience to share your ideas...
