Peer support for children with disabilities

For students with disabilities, peer supports can be beneficial in many ways, These supports can:

Build new friendships and supportive relationships that will develop a sense of trust for the child with disability

Promote a sense of belonging within the learning environment

Encourage participation in class and other school activities

And also build on independence and self determination

I strongly support this strategy that can be used in an inclusion classroom to achieve educational goals for all
