In response to question number 9, how will the school consult with the child to find out about the support they need, I would like to say that the institution where I work there is the Student Support Services Division (SSSD)and there are four units provided for in SSSD, one of which is the Special Education Unit. There are two guiding documents, the Draft Special Education Policy and the Inclusive Education policy. If a child enters the school , having a history of a disability, the child is referred to SSSD. Sometimes an aide may be attached to the child to assist him or her while he or she is on the compound during the school day.
