Activity 1.7 Monitoring inclusive schools

A practice that i think is inclusive and have worked.

One Inclusive practice at my school is the inclusion of all students in the life of the school by integrating clubs into the curriculum within the school day. Students were able to participate in some of their favourite activities without having to stay back after school or give up their lunch break. Some of the clubs included but are not limited to Life skills- cooking & sewing, music, dance, drama, arts & craft, sports etc. Students felt a sense of accomplishment, and belonging. They were able to build positive self esteem and enhance their social emotional development. The school saw an improvement in student attendance on Fridays when compared to previous terms when there was no clubs.
