One professional development experience which stands out to me was and is the continuous development of a transition activity pack for children who are leaving Early Childhood and entering into Infant One, Primary level. This pack developed through research by our Curriculum Team has assisted myself, staff and parents in seamlessly transitioning their children into Primary school and prepared them for the experiences they will encounter. As simple as it may seem and sound, transitioning a child AND parent and to prepare them mentally and emotionally for what lies before them can be a task however, the ECCE Transitioning pack ensures that all readers are able to understand and apply all the necessary protocols.
