3.3 (Being an effective inclusive teacher)

Being a teacher does not mean you will now everything. To become an effective inclusive teacher entails giving of your time and your support. Teachers should be able to form a collaborative team among staff to ensure that all requirements are met as it relates to meeting the needs of the children in your care as well as parents. Teachers should offer their time to doing their personal research and sharing with their team in discussion of strategies and interventions if needed as well as rendering any other support. Sharing information may assist teachers to become empowered and confident about the job they are doing. Teachers may also need to render support to parents and may need to know how to deal with such sensitive situation.
