To add on ,we should include more children who left school and are left in the villages to come to school. I think resource 2 was to be used in my school to make teachers aware of inclusivity then later used resource 1.

I also feel we need to find out why some children left school. The reasons shared by the learners and parents can be food for thought to plan way forward.

Fiona, including more children who have left school is an excellent addition and as Henderson correctly highlighted, we need to find out the reasons why and engage in meaningful conversations with parents and students while building trustworthy relationships. This is vital, and it will assist them in receiving much-needed assistance in order to prevent this from reoccurring. Working together, teachers and parents can make the difference between a student remaining in school rather than choosing to leave.

I agree that this is very important and useful. It is one of the things we try to do at the school where I work. The children who attend my  school come from varying socio economic backgrounds and one of the ways we try to keep our boys and girls in school is through the support of the community and other stakeholders but the parents have to be on board for the partnership to be successful.
