3.6 School-Based Teacher Development (SBTD)

The opportunity for teachers to work collaboratively when faced with challenges is a benefit and success for teacher development. This would enable a broadening of information, knowledge and skills which would directly affect student learning and meeting the needs of the individual learner. As well as, it would positively affect teacher burn out. However, the time factor allotted for teachers to work collaboratively should be given during the teaching day and not expand onto teachers’ personal time.
