Some of the professional development training that I have experienced that have been very effective and made a difference and continue to make a difference in my practice are:
These are just a few of the PD's. All of them have shown where we use very short and small strategies aimed at drawing out the learners who would normally get lost within the classroom due to the level and pace of work. They would also be the ones whom if we weren't aware of would simply think that they can't learn. I have been able to understand that it is not that they can't learn but that their styles of learning would be different from what would be normally offered. I also learnt that the strategies that would be effective for them actually worked well with the students whom we think are the 'faster' learners. Strategies used for inclusive learning does just that it includes everyone, even our students who are not considered special needs.
