I have learnt that creating an inclusive classroom requires some features that involves whole staff collaboration, attitudes and willingness/commitment to set the wheels in motion.
Creating an inclusive classroom is not an overnight project, but one that starts off with small changes that leads to greater impact. This initiative requires a commitment from various parties which include; Education/school Board, Organizations, Administration, Staff, Communities, Support services, families and a society that understands what its means when we say "Education for All".
Having a supportive and willing staff is key. Their attitudes set the tone for the ethos and cultures of schools, however, we cannot do it without the support of effective policies, continued professional grooming and an environment conducive for change.
In conclusion, this course has given me an appreciation for what we as educators bring to our learners in our classroom and beyond. As I continuously learn new knowledge and skills, my passion grows more and more.
