Having experienced several professional development sessions or courses, the ones that had a great impact on me were the ones that allowed for hands on training and not just talk and taking notes. Two such professional development sessions I can reflect upon are Integrating Music to teach children and Building Bridges to Inclusive Classroom through core practices in Early Literacy. The challenge most times to effectively implement most of what was learnt are the availability of resources and the teacher child ratio at the schools.
