Behaviour Management

One strategy that I observed that works for the most part is a token system leading to a reward that is agreed on by both the teacher and student (it is normally a simple snack or token toy). The student is made aware of one specific behaviour that he/she needs to work on. There is a maximum of 5 tokens to be gained on the token card. Once the student is able to consistently maintain the focused behaviour during each lesson a token is placed on the card. If the negative behaviour is shown then a token is removed. The student then realizes he/she is going to take a longer time to get to his/her final reward.
