Activity 4.2 Working with families

Give another example of ways in which schools can work with families

  • At a school that I am familiar with, one way in which they help families who are in need of financial support is by instituting a “donation drive”. Items such as used text books, basic school supplies and sometime school uniforms are collected then made available to families who are in need. The main premise of this drive is to provide children with the necessary resources that they need in order to attend school and not have to be kept away for a lack there of.

That is a great idea because most times the financial disability is often ignored.
