Activity 2.2 - Policies for an inclusive ethos

A school that I know encourage positive behaviour management by modelling positive behaviour as a whole school. In addition, the focus on positive behaviour is enforced every morning at each class level where a coin strategy is used. The good deed coin is given to a selected and at the end of the day, the child is expected to share with the class or whole class what good deed was done. However, throughout the day other student assist in monitoring the selected child so that if the child speaks untruth, the other students are called to confirm the good deed.

Hi Giselle, I agree that modelling behaviour is an excellent and I believe all schools should encourage this policy to foster positive behaviour. Very interesting coin strategy.
