Making a Reward System such as a Helping Hands Chart is my way of encouraging good behavior in children. This chart would have simple daily tasks that the child could do, eg- Sharing materials, Cleaning up, Eating all their fruits/lunch etc. These task will help to encourage a child to participate in helpful task thus making them feel special and included when the task is completed. Praise and encouragement when a behaviors is done will also lead to positive dispositions and attitudes. At the end of the day or when a behavior is noted I would reward my students with a sticker or a star on their hands. Many times I have seen children who received these stars, take care, not to let it wash off. With just a little patients, care and love each child will be able to benefit.
