4.5 Practical Benefits to schools of outside organisations

Apart from organisations related to the various Ministries (that is, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Development and so on) in our country, an outside organisation will be The Rotary Club (an NGO-Non -Governmental Organisation). They have branched out in various districts of our country. They provide medical outreach programs with professional volunteers at least four or five times annually primarily at rural communities. Services include providing medication, counselling, referrals, doctor’s examination, legal advice and medical check-ups. They also partner with other local organisations such as the Diabetic Association, Down Syndrome/Autistic Foundation and the Cerebral Palsy Society of Trinidad and Tobago to offer diagnostic and clinical aid to affected persons.
