The TESSA Inclusive Education Tool Kit is really very detailed. Being an educator in the ECCE setting I see this as a great tool to be used among staff to bring about changed mindset in dealing with inclusive education.
What I especially like about the tool kit is that it allows teachers attitude and behaviour towards inclusive education to be audited. in many cases we tend to place blame on the system which is much at fault for not having things in place for inclusive education, however blame also as to be put on the teacher for not responding to the call that all children have a right to an education not matter what their background or disability.
The tool kit is structured in such a way that brings clear understanding to the teacher in the classroom as to their responsibilities in teaching towards inclusion. There are many examples and classroom situations you can draw from to assist you with your practice and many of the challenges are real so you do not feel alone.
