Activity 2.7: Positive behaviour management strategies

Positive behaviour management strategies

Before the shutdown of schools in Trinidad and Tobago, I had employed a reward system using a sticker book as a strategy with my class. Each child was presented with their own reward book and could choose which sticker they would like to have as their reward for displaying positive behaviours. The book contained specific categories, for example, I have completed all my work,  I have cleaned up after myself, etc. I sometimes also reward the children with stickers to place onto their shirts for answering questions and general positive classroom etiquetteI would say they had worked as I had noticed an increase in class participation, self help behaviours and tenacity when completing challenging tasks.

I love this idea.  I had a plan similar to this before the shut down also.  I trust it would have been effective also.. Thank you
