A professional development experience that challenged my thinking and helped to improve my practice would be VAPA (Visual and Performing Arts). This experience thought me how to use music, art and drama in my activities. It helped to make the activities more interactive and enjoyable. I use it to bring across different concepts and to settle the children when they rowdy or unsettled. It also teaches the children to express themselves through music and movement. I really found workshop to be quite informative and effective.
