A professional development experience i would have had was when i was employed as a student aide. This was such an eye opening experience for me as it was a pilot project to see how successful the inclusion of children with disabilities would be in the mainstream schools. While it definitely had some drawbacks, these students were finally being seen as equals to the other children and being treated as such. Having access to free education and seeing the school evironment transform to include these different learners was truly a delightful experience.
