One of the opportunities that I had for professional development is the induction training that the ministry of education has for new teachers. Being a new teacher, it helped me to understand the various learning needs of students, how to plan my lessons to include using the VARK model and incorporating the use of technology into lessons. By doing this it helped students feel part of the class and have the hunger to learn and be part of the class. Teach students it is okay to fail and not get it on the first attempt. Teach them that the real failure is giving up, because if you fail you can use it as a learning experience to do better.
