Activity 4.1 It takes a village to raise a child

"It takes a village to raise a child" is an African proverb that means that an entire community of people must interact with children so they would be able to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment. The education of our children is the responsibility of the entire community, not just the teachers and school administrators.

Hi Shaffina, I have grown up with this saying, :It takes a village to raise a child", Parents alone cannot be everywhere at the same time and hence, this is where persons from the community comes in and should be able to discipline and talk with the child. The children learn from their environment, school, church and their peers. With all these components come together then the child would have a good foundation to stand on. This saying, still lives on to date. A good post.

I agree with this post! It takes an entire community of people who have made a collective effort of raising a child whether near or far, via phones, tablets or computers using the internet.
