Activity 1.6 Professional development

Recently we had some professional development training on using the many features that are available  in the outlook programme to assist with online learning .

I am not very good at using anything on the computer that is outside  of power point ,word , publisher and looking at videos. Therefore I was very happy to learn about the features such as using animations, together with learning that there are features that can help those who are visual and hearing impaired  learn online.  this made a real difference for me as i am practicing and putting what was learnt and the children are intrigued   and i am excited.

I certainly agree with you, in addition these work shops could not have been done in a better time. It has developed me as an educator in that I can now use available tools and recourses and go above and beyond by bring the world of opportunities into the homes of all my students.

This new development have improved students outcome because students skills have been developed and they now interact with technology on a first hand basis.

I believe that great educators certainly help in creating great students and it is critical that professional development becomes mandatory and as teachers we should be the best at what we do by best practices and participating in workshops and seminars.

Thank you Vernice for that demonstration of how in school based teacher professional development a teacher learns and tries the skill with the learners immediately. Thank you for sharing your experience
